Aileron Rib Anomaly 12/24/2006
 | | pic1 |
I meant to write about this a year ago when I built the ailerons, but didn't want to until I had actually fitted the ailerons to the wing to confirm I had done the correct action:
Unless I had an utter brain f**t, there is an error in the profile of the lower aileron tip rib. The nose area of this rib does not line up with the spar when the spar meets up with it. The pics will explain better. The pink shaded area is the new rib I made. The strange thing is, I was convinced I was reading something wrong because there have been hundreds built and I couldn't find anything on the web refering to this anomaly?
